When I think of BBCOR baseball bats from last year the first one that usually comes to mind is the Rawlings Quatro. This bat was a hot-seller all of last year, and players seemed to absolutely love it. The Quatro is still a one-of-a-kind bat as it is a four-piece composite. This bat had a composite barrel, inner barrel, connection piece and handle. With all of the tech in this bat, we saw it had tons of pop, and players said they rarely ever felt any vibration. While the newer 2019 Quatro pro has new tech like a focused flex connection piece, the 2018 model is still no slouch. Also, last year's Quatro has the glow stick colorway to it that so many people loved. While the 2019 Quatro pro definitely has some updated tech and a new colorway, you can save big bucks by buying the 2018 Quatro.

The BBCOR formula provides a better measure of the bat's performance and therefore allows the rules committee and bat testing laboratories to better predict field performance based on lab tests. The goal is that non-wood bats that meet this new standard will perform similarly to wood bats. All BBCOR bats will incorporate a logo mark once certification approval is granted. This mark will be consistent across every approved bat design so umpires will easily identify approved bats.
