Slowpitch Senior Softball leagues like SSUSA use a 1.21 Bat Performance Factor, which is simply the increase in the liveliness of a ball hitting a bat compared to throwing the ball against a solid wall. Approved bats must have the SSUSA/NTS logo or have a BPF of 1.21 or less.
