About Dove Tail Bat CompanyBased in Maine, Dove Tail Bat Company has been in the wood industry for over 40 years beginning with DoveTail Cabinetry and Designed Living, its custom-cabinetry and kitchen showroom business.Their youngest son, Paul, complained about the quality of the baseball bats he was using in high school and college, so he made his first bat in 2005 with maple stock planned for table legs. Dove Tail Bats sold bats over the next eight years to their sons' college and professional teammates as well as adult men's leagues around the US.DTB debuted in the big leagues in 2014, and in 2015 when the Kansas City Royals won the World Series, 70% of the runs were scored with a DTB. In 2019, Pete Alonso hit 53 home runs with a Dove Tail Bat and set the rookie home run record and was named Rookie of the Year. Alonso is a 2-time MLB Home Run Derby Champion (2019, 2021).DTB is one of a limited number of bat suppliers certified to sell to pro players and has had three baseball bats inducted into the Hall of Fame. | |||||||||||||
