About MarucciThe Marucci Bat Company, later renamed Marucci Sports, was founded in 2004 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by LSU athletic trainer Jack Marucci and former Major Leaguers Kurt Ainsworth and Joe Lawrence. They started in a workshop with a piece of maple, building their name on consistency and craftsmanship, never placing the Marucci seal of approval on a bat that wasn't perfect.That commitment has led Marucci to be one of the top brands used in Major League Baseball. The Marucci Advisory Board was created to get feedback and expertise from current MLB players. Some of the players who have participated on the board include Jose Bautista, Francisco Lindor, Andrew McCutchen, David Ortiz, Buster Posey, Albert Pujols, Anthony Rizzo, and Chase Utley.Marucci started a World Series in Baton Rouge in the summer of 2016 and has hosted Founders' Club teams from across the country, Canada, and South Korea. The World Series now includes four divisions: 14U, 15U, 16U, and 17U.Marucci also partners with the baseball community with its non-profit organization Marucci Cares. It is dedicated to helping those in need and increase participation in youth sports and has partnerships with some of its advisory board members' funds and foundations. | |||||
 At Closeout Bats we stock what we sell! We have a huge warehouse and are NOT drop shipping bats like many web sites. We update inventory and availability on the Web site several times a day as inventory positions change shipping hundreds and hundeds of bats. We also sell bats out of our physical store, so sometimes things sell out before we can get them off the Web site.
